NeSCC Policy 05:08:03 Inclement Weather: Cancellation of Classes

All full-time fiscal year and modified fiscal year employees of the College are expected to report for work on all regularly scheduled workdays. In the event of inclement weather and/or adverse road conditions, each employee unable to make it to work shall contact their immediate supervisor and make arrangements to take annual leave. Employees deciding whether or not they can safely get to and from work should take into consideration their own individual circumstances. No one is required to report to work or stay at work if weather conditions prevent safe transport. Employees electing to miss work due to adverse weather conditions must file for annual leave.

In the event that the College is closed or placed on a reduced schedule due to extreme weather or other emergency, those regular full-time and part-time employees on the active payroll who are scheduled to work during the declared times of closing will be granted time off from work with pay. Employees who are not scheduled to work will not be paid for the emergency closing.

Attention is directed to NeSCC Policy 05:08:03 relative to the cancellation of classes due to inclement weather.
