NeSCC Policy 04:48:00 SACSCOC Substantive Changes
To ensure compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges’ Standard 14.2, "The institution has a policy and procedure to enure that all substantive changes are reported in accordance with SACSCOC policy," Northeast State has set forth the following policy.
Institutional Excellence and Student Success Division Responsibilities: The Institutional Excellence and Student Success Division is responsible for reviewing the SACSCOC Web site relative to recent changes monthly and for informing the appropriate division(s) of changes to policies that affect their area(s) of purview.
Responsibilities of All Divisions: All divisions are responsible for ensuring compliance with SACSCOC policies that fall under their purview as denoted on the SACSCOC Policy Review Responsibility Listing. This document shall be available via the Research, Analytics, and Planning Web site, under the "SACS Commission on Colleges" header. Divisions should refer to the Policies and Publications Section of the SACSCOC Web site, to access and review policies.
Annual Review and Affirmation of Compliance: Each division holding responsibility for adherence to one or more SACSCOC policies shall affirm compliance and detail any specifics points of interests/notes of concern during the College’s annual SACSCOC substantive change training session for college personnel. At that meeting the SACSCOC Policy Review Responsibility Listing Document shall be reviewed to ensure all policies are listed and to review what area(s) is listed as the responsible division(s). Updates shall be made to the listing as deemed necessary. Please refer to Northeast State Policy 04:48:00, SACSCOC Substantive Changes, for more information regarding this annual meeting.
