Chapter 6: College Committees & Advisory Councils

06:06:00   Committee for Recruitment, Enrollment and Retention of Underrepresented Populations

Purpose: The Committee for Recruitment, Enrollment, and Retention of Underrepresented Populations shall advise and assist the College in assessing and updating recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies for underrepresented student populations. The Committee shall report its assessment of the effectiveness of its efforts to the president on an annual basis and will recommend any modifications to these efforts as deemed necessary. The Committee shall also review and recommend students for the award of grants available under the diversity scholarship programs. Members of the Committee are appointed by the College President. 


    1. Chair, Cultural Activities Committee
    2. Dean of Enrollment Management
    3. Dean of Student Services
    4. Director of Financial Aid
    5. Director of Human Resources
    6. Director of Scholarship Programs
    7. Director of WIA Grant and Bridge Program, Chair
    8. Executive Director of the Foundation, Ex Officio
    9. Faculty (2):  Designated by the Vice President for Academic Affairs
    10. Institutional Effectiveness Officer, Ex Officio
    11. Lab Assistant, The Learning Center
    12. Registrar
    13. Student (1):  Designated by the Vice President for Student Affairs
    14. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Ex Officio
    15. Vice President for Student Affairs, Ex Officio

The committee chair shall post a meeting summary on the campus bulletin board and post minutes/actions/plans on the Campus Drive, Committees Folder.
