Northeast State Community College (NeSCC) is a community of scholars in which the ideals of freedom of inquiry, freedom of thought, freedom of expression and freedom of the individual are sustained. However, the exercise and preservation of these freedoms and rights require a respect for the rights of all in the community to enjoy them to the same extent. It is clear that in a community of learning, willful disruption of the educational process, destruction of property and interference with the orderly process of the College or with the rights of other members of the College cannot be tolerated.
To fulfill its functions as an educational institution, NeSCC retains the authority to establish policies and procedures.
NeSCC and the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) establish policies, procedures and guidelines that support a framework and methodology for College administration, best practices and campus safety.
Overarching Policies, Procedures and Guidelines for the TBR System are located: https://policies.tbr.edu/all.
The following chapters comprise NeSCC's Policies & Procedures Manual:
Chapter 1: System of Governance
Chapter 2: Academics
Chapter 3: Student Affairs
Chapter 4: Business & Administration
Chapter 5: Personnel
Chapter 6: College Committees & Advisory Councils
Chapter 7: Safety & Security
TBR Policies, Procedures & Guidlines take precedence over NeSCC Policies & Procedures.
