We are excited that you have chosen Northeast State to further your education. To make your transition into our learning community as smooth as possible, you’ll need to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) program. At NSO, you will gain information crucial to your success in college.
At New Student Orientation you will:
- Meet with an academic advisor who will help you select and register for classes
- Learn how to navigate our website using your My Northeast account
- Get your student ID and hang tag (parking permit)
- Receive information about campus resources
- Talk with a Financial Aid counselor
- Campus Tour
IMPORTANT: NSO is mandatory for all first-time college students. If you are a former Northeast State student or are transferring from another college or university, please call 423.323.0229. *** You must have received an acceptance letter from the Office of Admissions and Records stating "you have been admitted to the College" and completed all placement testing (if required) prior to registering for orientation.
Pre-registration is required. NSO's take approximately 5 hours to complete and you must be present the entire time. If you leave early, Northeast State will not consider your orientation requirement complete. All orientations are held at the main campus adjacent to the Tri-Cities Airport unless otherwise noted. Space is limited, so sign up for the first available session if possible.
If you have previously attended Northeast State or some other college/university, you are not required to attend NSO. Please contact our office at 423.323.0229 or at Orientation@NortheastState.edu to schedule a time to register for classes.
Please select an orientation date below. These dates are for spring registration only.
