The library will accept donated books and other materials from individuals and organizations. Criteria for adding these items to the collection will be the same as for items that are purchased. If an item is not added to the collection, it may be given back to the donor, given away or surplused. The library will not assess the value of donated items for tax purposes.
If you would like to suggest that the library purchase an item to add to the collections you can fill out a simple online form. Your suggestion will be evaluated according to our collection development policies. Usually, we evaluate items by examining their relevance to the instructional needs of the college, the currency of the item, availability of funds, and possible demand. Plaese note that this is a suggestion and not an official request.
